a "charm" ing squishie

recently participated in a civil war reproduction charm swap and so these arrived in the mail yesterday.  it is the most frugal way to obtain new stash.  first a quick trip to washer, then dryer, then into the stash for future small quilt projects.  *** dodged the SNOW bullet, but it is chilly for april here this morning.  maybe spring will come NEXT week?  there is always hope....and BTW, a happy birthday to Gladys Taber, author of the "stillmeadow" books.  if you haven't read one, you are in for a delightful sojourn!

  1. Ooh, those look like a great additoin. Are they only 5"? I've never tried washing charm squares.

  2. Since I share a birthday with Gladys Taber I may have to check the local library to find one of her books?? Looked her up on Amazon and the books certainly sound peaceful and a pleasant change! I thought of you several days ago when I saw a Jo Morton book on clearance, if you are interested let me know it will probably still be there.

  3. I have not washed 5" squares, either. Do you put them in a lingerie bag or anything?
Looks like a scrumptious mix of fabrics. : )

  4. Nice looking tote bag that will never show any road dirt and will wash like a champion anyway! Those 5" charms are so nice and it looks like a big bunch of them, too!

  5. I am a long-time fan of Gladys Taber. She began many of her books in April since it was her birth month. I'd love to visit Stillmeadow (on the Jeremy Swamp Road, as her readers well know).
