isn't it?? so working on 3 projects simultaneously is a good thing, right? i had to, it was a matter of fun versus death by boredom. the double wedding ring is going along, one row assembled, more rings ready for the second. the new england sampler is moving along pretty well....
the little flowers row is all quilted....now working on the next....loving the cross hatching....but was bored with these two projects....fun but the pandemic was stronger....so moved along to the kaffe project...midnight at the oasis.
for some reason my phone camera hated to take this photo....the blush pink you see doesn't exist in real life....the funky baskets border is on and applique vines and flowers will get added. then another narrow row of lime. the next border is comprised of tiny churn dash blocks....and these are fun to make! get to play in all those bright scraps....2 done so far....

Wonderful projects. Can’t wait to see midnight at the oasis completion.
ReplyDeleteMATO looks wonderful! You could never be bored playing with those fun fabrics.
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't realize the old Viking was no more. Did I miss a post or two? Wish you were closer. I have found a couple of good old work horse Vikings at a local thrift store over the past couple of years. I gave one to a friend, but I still have the other here that I could have passed on to you, because I still have my 43-year-old Viking. Hey, I'm sure the UPS store could box it up for me and ship it out if you are interested.
Hope the new machine works for you! I love, love, love the one in the center. Delicious colors.
ReplyDeleteI so admire people who can keep several quilts going at the same time, all active with progress on each.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the eye problems. Sounds awful.
I really like both quilts in this post.
Hum, maybe boredom is why I have several projects going on at once too. Your Midnight at the Oasis is going to be fabulous. Usually I'm not that much of a Kaffe fan. But I do like the quilt. How big (small?) are the churn dashes -- they look so good. Sorry to burst your bubble but we may be in masks for a long time when we go out and about. The upside of covid is the flu season was really light.
ReplyDeletechurn dash blocks finished 3"...
DeleteOh my yes! Three or even four or five at a time is perfectly acceptable. I love all 3 of these projects. I hope the eye problem clears up soon.
ReplyDeleteIt’s always good to have several projects going at once. Love The cheery colors and fabrics I’m still waiting for my first shot. Hope the eye gets better soon
ReplyDeleteI just read through your posts and I am in love with that double ring piece you are working on. The blue works so well with colourful scraps. IN fact, I love all these projects of yours. I think it is good to have a few on the go at the same time to keep it all fresh. I also like how you include old photos in your posts. That's a wonderful thing to have and cherish too.
