even though my floor isn't big enough to show it all neatly and in detail, hope you get the idea....
you can't see my ear-to-ear grin, but know i'm deliriously happy this flimsy is finally done. was completely gobsmacked at the time it took to do this sew along and it has taught me an important lesson, especially now that i have other quilty diversions and doing more charity sewing than before. next up is to finish the westering women blocks and the farmer's wife project too, so no time to be bored. now that this is done, can get dressed and finish breakfast dishes--yep, hit the machine right after breakfast...LOL!
Holy Cow! It is sensational! Super job.
ReplyDeleteStunning! Congrats, Grace--you have shown amazing patience and tenacity sticking with this, and what a glorious payoff!

ReplyDeleteImpressive, and it is all together and only 9 days into the new year!
ReplyDeleteOh it is beautiful. Good for you for sticking it out. Your soft fabrics make it look so much nicer than the original as it was displayed
ReplyDeleteWhat an achievement, Grace. You are an inspiration. I love the softer colors. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a MAJOR accomplishment!! It's just beautiful and amazing that you were able to keep up and follow through. You're a great example to us all!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on such a big finish! I love the scrappy look. Will you be tying it? I can't imagine hand quilting through all those seams. This is definitely a heirloom to be passed onto your daughter.
ReplyDeletegonna try and quilt if possible...probably the medallion, corner squares then in the ditch...way too many seams for anything else...
