a cold and snowy weekend just the ticket for finishing up some things that were lying around annoying me....
a pin cushion and ornament meant for a swap that i had to drop...
now the table can be tidied to move on to other stuff, like the kaffe tumblers and continue quilting on the scrappy DWR....plenty cold here and we did get about an inch of white stuff sunday...homemade chicken soup ready and more cookie baking. also this week a bit of garment sewing on the list to use up some free fabric. i'm already in the new year mindset and getting my UFO ducks in a row. it's been a low key, pared down holiday season and quite enjoyable, able to relax and take in many excellent holiday specials online. have a blessed and peaceful week!

Love the pincushions and the little wall hanging--you did a lovely job!
ReplyDeletethanks
DeleteLove the diagonal "candycane" fabric. It really sets off the piece!
ReplyDeletethanks it does...i had enough to bind but it would have been too much i thought
DeleteSo many small finishes, but good to have them done. I do like the quilt in your hoop. Nice and cosy for sure.
ReplyDeletethanks...yes done and gone...
DeleteBeautiful finishes Grace.
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteI really like your embroidery piece. I'm going to head on over the hatched and patched site to see what she has this year.

DeleteSounds like you made the best of the snowy weather. great projects!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your quilts goodness! We are just plain cold here. Wish we had snow to blame…lol
ReplyDeletethanks...idle hands you know...LOL
DeleteEqual opportunity crustaceans! LOL.
ReplyDelete‘Pared down, relaxing and enjoying’ sound like just the ticket. I’m happy for you and am going to try borrowing a page from your book. Your projects are all so sweet and pretty. Sending big, happy hugs your way~
ReplyDeleteAll great finishes! The pincushion is fun, and I love the tree ornament (because you made one for me years ago). Glad they don't have to annoy you anymore. LOL
ReplyDeleteGot a kick out of your equal opportunity with the lobster and crab fabric. When hubby and I visit New England, we are equal opportunity, as well. He eats lobster, and I eat crab. ;)
Very nice job on the Anni Downs pattern. I do like her stuff!
Hope you can stay warm, well, busy and content through the Christmas season, Grace!
It must feel good to have several finishes this week. You are getting cold weather, as we are sweltering. No soup on the menu here at the moment. Yours sounds delicious. Like you, the season is a bit quieter here too and I’m starting to think about next year’s plans.
