spent weekend catching up on rest after marathon cleaning week...pushed the mended heart to the limit and beyond it seems....but did finished block #3...
ooh they are looking good....before the applique there was too much green but now i really like them....19 days to get #4 done....border plan pretty much formulated....there will be swags!
and did get to the machine a bit yesterday to work on the scrappy log cabin blocks....had to pull out the tote of 1.5" strips....
so it was a low key weekend, not really sad over mother's day...i think of my mom as just not living here anymore, she is just living somewhere else...probably everyone in my building is now motherless...
i'll close with this photo from the lancaster show's cheddar exhibit....lots of quilts with cheddar/red/green combo but i thought this different take was quite pleasing....
blue is my favorite color doncha know!! enjoying the sun here ahead of a few gray and rainy days....regardless of the weather the days are filling with blessings!

Your applique blocks are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour Hawaiian blocks are stunning! The cheddar quilts are popular again--my friend just made one!
ReplyDeleteThe applique blocks are so beautiful. So much work. The scrap box looks full but it also looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking good together. I too like the cheddar quilt.
ReplyDeleteThey ARE looking good! I am confronting the boatload of scraps I bought at the church rummage sale. I wish I knew who donated them so I could ask her what she had in mind for many of them.
ReplyDeleteYour applique blocks make me drool. I love them. I'm unsure as to why you've set a time limit on this project. I hope that you're enjoying the process and not pressuring yourself. I love having scrappy bins from which to pull and don't find that even one bit revolting! Ha!! :) Hugs to you~
ReplyDeleteThe Baltimore album blocks are looking GREAT, Grace!!
