44! my SMT (scrappy meets thrifty) sew along blocks are piling up....
a challenging financial week here in now 80s maryland....supplement health insurance took a $41 hike and the cable also went up $25....money out of the food budget....so had to cut the cord....2-3 streaming services will give me plenty to watch at way less money--alas, i had to sacrifice 'jeopardy'....but gained a few channels that i really like...
and couldn't resist this little chuckle....how things have changed, many not for the better but still there are blessings....summer is finally here! have a blessed day....
My mother called scarves like the one the woman's wearing "babushkas." Your scrappy projects are shaping up nicely. Sorry about the price hikes! (I just got the property tax bill....)

ReplyDeleteDating ourselves too, for even knowing that term! My Polish grandma and mom both wore them and somewhere there's a photo of me as a preschooler wearing a heavy woolen one and a way-too-small snow suit looking much like a stuffed sausage ... 😂
ReplyDeleteI love those thrifty square in square blocks just as they are. So pretty. The whole world went and got expensive. I think many of us are looking hard at the budget and trying to find new ways to economise. Like you Tony and I have changed TV options as a money saver.
