it's 11 here this morning and what? going DOWN to 2 degrees overnite? in maine my brother is reporting -9....snow in florida and alabama? and my peeps in the southern hemisphere are sweltering with heat. crazy weather indeed...what's a gal to do but baste???
murphy's law says work expands to fill the allotted time and that has been spot on for me this week...the necessary stuff is getting done at a snail's pace. with nowhere to go for the week i've been coasting a lot.
these 2 little things also got finished....
so 3 things to finish in january....basting, oz wall quilt and mathemagical...with 9 days to go...plus 2 med appts, couple of fun things, delayed grocery order today and some cooking...
and if you're really bored, watch deer eat here....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ6Jq82qhGI.
and above all, try and stay warm...i had a down coat when i moved to maryland 9 years ago but gave it away...another winter like this and i'll be replacing it for sure!

A food pantry for DEER! Who knew? That buck is majestic!! Cold here too, lots to keep me busy inside as well. I love that cross-stitch piece, it's precious. Would you share the pattern name and designer? You DWR quilt is absolutely gorgeous!! Warm hugs~
ReplyDeleteI had to buy a new down coat last year. I have no regrets, I love it. Love the shade of blue in your wedding ring quilt (is that the right name?). We aren't quite as cold as you but we do get down in the teens at night. Stay warm~
ReplyDeleteDear Grace do keep yourself busy and warm. Quilting is a great task for cold weather. That wedding ring quilt looks lovely. I wish it was warm here, we have had a poor Summer in NZ.
ReplyDeleteYour wintertime needlework is so appropriate! And I like the the vivid blue background for your DWR. Monday and Tuesday I went outside only to get the paper and the mail. Today it got up to 22 and I went to the post office and the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteNice projects! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWe even heard on the news here that it was the coldest in decades in your part of the world. Our weather hasn’t been too hot, but Tuesday next week will be a doozy. I love how vibrant your DWR quilt is. Aren’t you lucky to have an activity that keeps you busy indoors during this cold snap.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful DWR quilt. The colors bounce off that blue background really well.
ReplyDeleteOh, crawling around on the floor to baste makes me ache just thinking about it. I postpone and avoid as much as possible.
I am a firm believer in and practitioner of that Murphy's law!! :)
Sweet little finishes--the cross-stitch makes me feel like I didn't get enough Christmas. Haven't had a sleigh ride in way too many years.
We were down in that temperature range recently, but have since warmed a bit. Hope that is coming your way.
