the previously mentioned stash of FQ winnings arrived monday....a nice little bundle of 26 FQs, all very nice....birds, butterflies, blues, purples, neutrals...
and these bodacious prints arrived for the mathemagical top....
monday was seasonable meaning 40s but still cold overnight making for 3 dog quilt nights and more on the horizon...even so prefer this over heat index of 100 or so...the lined drape i made for a kitchen window has served well, so before summer arrives another for the remaining 2 windows will be made.
our complex now has a regular monday van that goes to local grocery stores. this is indeed a great benefit making it more convenient to acquire needs. up until now i've been buying ahead not knowing when i would shop again...we live in a transportation desert otherwise.
time to jot down tuesday's to-dos and then on the bike!
Ooh. Squishy mail. That is the best sort.
ReplyDeleteLovely stash enhancement. You lucky lady you.
ReplyDeleteNice fabrics! Good to hear that there is a bus once a week for you that will help you out!
ReplyDeleteIs there anything more joyous than receiving fabrics in the mail? I love that; but, I'm impressed that you already are thinking ahead to how you might use them. It is a good idea to let them all get used to living together first though! The cold is bitter here today, the snow is lingering. I must admit that I prefer summer weather but I have a little heater in my sewing space so I'm cozy and content. Hugs~
ReplyDeleteThe new fabrics are just right for filling in the quilting needs!
ReplyDeleteAh, the fun mail arrived! The Kaffe prints are very bold. Won't they be exciting to work with?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to have a van that can take you to the grocery store each week. That is a blessing, indeed.
I'm right there with you on preferring things on the cooler side, as opposed to the sweltering heat. After a couple of episodes of heat exhaustion, I do all I can to avoid hot situations.
