it's been a tumultuous week with various family dramas playing out all at once, so little in the way of sewing progress. got liberty road backing and batting trimmed and ready to start the basting next week. awaiting daughter's safe return from across the pond--my only chick you know. estimate it'll take nearly a day to do the thread basting, my usual method.
here is another look before starting...
cold air refuses to vacate maryland...our few spring days last week make it seem worse. finished this book loaned from a neighbor and really liked it...
and while awaiting spring, dreaming of vistas like this--summery shore, sand and sea. hoping i'll get my fix this summer as usual.

We had 4" of snow today! It melted on the streets and sidewalks but stuck to trees, hedges, and lawns. (Quite a contrast to last week when the temp reached 73.)
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the shore is so lovely. I've always lived in land locked country although I was born in Santa Monica California. We moved from California when I was 3 yrs. So not a lot of memories from going to the seashore. Someday maybe~
ReplyDeleteYour Liberty road quilt is looking lovely. Knowing you it will be quilted and bound in no time. I hope you warm up soon.
