today's post brought to you by the letter "T"...rainy day here in the pine tree state but blessedly cool!
a wall quilt made eons ago and hung up at mom's house....i always liked this one and so does she....
and this....
Turner's lobster garage....has his own boat and traps and pools.....price on monday was $5.89 per pound...always fresh and delicious!
recently learned that 3.5 ounces of cooked lobster has a whopping 600+mg of sodium so i have to enjoy sparingly...but oh so worth it!
portable sewing projects in full swing....plenty to show at future post!

Love your T's. Enjoy your seafood, but in moderation.
ReplyDeleteSweet little "T" quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder how something that tastes as sweet as lobster does can be so high in sodium. But I will warn hubby when we are in Maine in September.
Is lobster high in sodium because it lives in salt water? It's just so surprising! I've never eaten lobster....
ReplyDeleteGreat T quilt.
yes it's the salt water...most shellfish in fact...scallops, crab, shrimp...clams less as they live in mud..grace
DeleteSo glad you are now in Maine and having a super time. I don't eat lobster anymore because I just can't bare to eat it without a bucket of butter. If you plan to get to Cyndi's I would love to try to meet you there. I know your time here is probably packed so no worries, we will hopefully Zoom again soon!
ReplyDeleteRelying on sister for car so doubtful...☹️
DeleteLobster around here can just be had at "Red Lobster" the restaurant. It's just not the same, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteOh, you made it! If you're near Brunswick -- there's an exhibit of original Robert McCloskey illustrations (Blueberries for Sal, One Morning in Maine, Make Way for Ducklings) at the Curtis Memorial Library.
ReplyDeletegood to know but no car, relying on sister so mostly housebound...
DeleteWhoa !!! Fresh Lobster!!!
