back in the groove....

Covid continues to wax and wane, normal life resumes after holidays and winter finally arrives!  we are under a weather advisory, 2-4" of snow....which makes this new england gal roll her eyes and chuckle.  another day with no specific plans other than the usual...here is my final report from magic week and the weekend....

finished the tree runner fashioned from leftover blocks...this is done and will get packed up with christmas stuff whenever that happens....also done is this...

some time this week a pinkeep will emerge....a zoom visit with like-minded sewists resulted in more of these finished...7 done and 9 to go...

and (drum roll please).....finished 2 blocks of the civil war diary book....

this is work as i am no longer enamored with this project, but i shall persevere and arrive at surrender...tried several methods to streamline these blocks but failed, so will soldier on....fabrics and pattern pulled for january mini, a new project started for a gift, list made of a few things i'd like to do this year....and this is the 2022 motto....

  1. Happy 2022, Grace! We sent the snow eastward to you--after 5" Saturday night we had sunshine yesterday and today. Your pink stars are gorgeous. And, yes, quilt o'clock is right, all the time.

  2. Quilt O'clock is my favorite time of day! I have the Civil War Diary book but haven't done any out of it... maybe I now know why. ;) Winter Advisory here today too- we ended up with 1.5" and a short-term power outage. Winter in the south: it was 75 degrees on Jan 1! Happy New Year, Grace!

  5. Quilt o'clock - love it! It was a good way to start the year with a zoom and I love your pink blocks...great little table mat with your leftover trees...hopefully Civil War Diary will start to give you joy in the making and feel less like work as you go along...

  6. Hi CQ, I have tiny trees on the go and a cross stitch piece too. I'm also stitching Quilt Bible Blocks and plodding along with it much like your Civil War blocks. I should probably make it a priority sometime to get it done but too many other things get in my way. Anyway, a very Happy Stitchy New Year to you.
