new temptations

fall must be the reason to start new projects....plus the constant enabling of computer photos and like-minded enthusiasts...surfing blogs doesn't help either!  this is definitely getting started first, just need 1.5 yards of a dark indigo repro print and ready to go...pattern by edyta sitar

then these 2 came across my screen....a new jen kingwell pattern....wensleydale...just right for all my repro scraps don't you think?

and this by natalie bird, a new-to-me designer from zoom pals down under...plenty of blue scraps on hand for this....the photo doesn't do it justice at all...

will be fun to sew this along with others and watch the progress i think....plus some sewing for the guild, the DAR and my own UFO list should chase those other blues away and keep them at bay....i hope

    So happy to see you "perking up" and getting interested in some quilt projects. I LOVE Alaska and would love to do it sometime. I have a big fat quarter bundle of Editya (spelling?) fabric.     Why stop at one comment! I love love love Jen Kingwell. I've done her Gypsy Wife in neutrals. Am also doing the same pattern in "Cider" fabric line as a BOM. Really want to see it finished. I've done the Small World wall hanging. Want to do her Long Time Gone. Just ordered another book of hers and I imagine there will be several I'll want to do from it. Love the quilt of her's that you showed in your blog. I've quilted for many years. Everything always shoved into a cramped bedroom. But I retired and bought a home close to my daughter. The house has a full, unfinished, basement and that has become my Quilt Cave. ~Mindy
