"just joy" the new babylock zigzag got a chance to show her stuff....a beloved t-shirt had developed a few holes....it's a sentimental thing and so a repair was required....happy to say back in one piece and joy has proven herself useful even tho not loved....
the other day a nonsquishie package arrived....items passed along from a quilter who no longer sews....happening more frequently as many age out of their beloved hobby....a day we all dread, well at least me....some patterns and kits...
a few of some finished blocks....

A summer beach trip to look forward to is the perfect antidote to cold, wintry days! You inherited some lovelies there, can't wait to see what you do with them. Too many projects? Huh?? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou received a package of lovelies to keep you busy until the real flowers are blooming and you can sit upon your beloved beach again! :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom made her last quilt (all hand quilted) at age 85, but many women go beyond that. We've got good years in us yet!!
Summer dreamin’! Have fun with Aloha.
ReplyDeleteI have that Suzanne's Bouquet kit shown in your photo. Did you receive others, or just that one? It was a block/kit of the month from that quilt shop in Center Harbor - Keepsake Quilting I think it was called. I think I must have bought the kits 25 years ago. I have taken each of them out of their packets several times and got a lot of joy from doing so, and then packed them away neatly again! LOL I've not ever invested the time or effort to learn needleturn applique, so I'm thinking that I might make the quilt using fusible web with hand blanket stitching around the edges. One of these days, that is!
