catching up

took me nearly a week to recover from a month of chaos, but finally was able to spend the weekend and today sewing up a storm.  it's been hot and humid, so perfect to do just that.  had previously mentioned the blue logs donation flimsy...well here it is, all ready to tie and bind.

after that, pieced a wall quilt tree for my mother.  while i don't use fusibles, for this will use a firmer iron-on pellon interfacing as she will use this for her holiday decorating.  it'll be good to hang her ornaments from and maybe even clip some lights.  real trees are forbidden, of course.
then finished piecing this guild donation that will also be tied. have already finished one and these both will go to the local cancer center infusion clinic to keep patients warm during treatment. i had posted a couple of blocks earlier.  have to say this is the fastest pattern i've ever used, i do believe.
lastly, the borders for the plaid stars got assembled and added for another flimsy ready for quilting.
now i think the bernina has earned a bit of a rest.  while searching for something else, unearthed a couple of cross-stitch UFOs so hoping at least one can get done during this hot week. then it'll be back to quilting the 365,,,,

  1. I was enjoying each project as I read your post, but the last one--the plaid stars--really got my heart pumping.
The tree is a great idea for your Mom.
