another 6.5 yards out of the stash....and this is finished....not quite twin size but size ok for me...and yes, there ARE 2 different greens in this quilt....no matter....channeling some antique quilt maker...lol! a small quilt has moved into the hoop for perhaps another finish before march roars in....we'll see!
Well done! It is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThis is so great, Grace! The two different greens give it a more vintage look. I love everything about this--the different greens, the rich colors--and my favorite block, the churn dash!!
ReplyDeletethanks...and it's true that vintage quilts are not always perfect! it's why i often don't agonize over not perfect...
DeleteVery eye-catching Grace. And I, also, like the two different greens. Have you seen the front cover of Bonnie Hunter's new book up close? It's a string quilt with a solid yellow background. She ran out of yellow and tried to buy an exact match to allow her to finish the project, but had to settle for something that was just the tiniest bit different. And, of course, that's the quilt the publishers chose for the cover! LOL

How did I miss this quilt?! It is gorgeous! I love the solid (non-scrappy) green background and the colors you used for the churn dashes. Beautiful, beautiful!
