friday flingee
somebody took friday fling very seriously. the UPS man arrived with a box that contained this collection of civil war repro fabrics PLUS a jo morton book. it's somebody i don't know but to say i'm pleased is an understatement. the entire collection is just over 21 yards and a great assortment of colors! i'm not sure what the reasoning was behind this gift, but i gratefully and humbly accept. now to find a place to put it....

Wow, Grace, that is really something!! This person you don't know was very generous. Lucky you! Many of those fabrics are in my stash. That was quite a gift! I haven't heard of Friday Fling. Can you explain?
ReplyDeleteHoly Hat rack, what a haul! I would be envious except that you are so deserving that I am only happy for you. The newest edition of Quiltmaker has an adaptation of an antique medallion quilt on page 26, called Around Town by Dawna Baker. I'd think that it might be perfect for these if you have no other idea for them.
ReplyDeleteOk this is HUGE! Congrats on this awesome gift! I am very happy for you you got this kind gift! No not envious! I never wish people bad things, so I am happy when others are happy! Truely! I recently got such a great unexpected gift too and I knew from whom it came but didn't expect it either. I was over the mon also, so know how you feel (still walking on those little clouds LOL). Have fun with making small quilt with these. They will be put into good use!
ReplyDeleteWow ... What a fantabulous gift! Better do something neat with it.
ReplyDeleteNow that was an awesome "squishy" package to recieve, looking forward to seeing what you create with these beauties!
