it's coming....
that's right, just a few months away we'll be gathering together to celebrate thanksgiving. happy to say i got invited out! not sure if we'll have turkey or not, but it doesn't matter. ****** no real sewing to report from tuesday, just a bit of this and that. today i hope will be different as i do have a few (!!) projects that need attention. ***** rain has finally gone and left us with a good day today. i have the window open and have just heard the plane for baltimore take off; it's the one i usually take when i go. wish i lived closer to DD and her husband but the plane trip is only 1.5 hours so that isn't too bad at all.

Already receiving a Thanksgiving invitation? Someone plans ahead! I am in a rotation to host--On even years I am one of three to host on the in-law side. On odd years I am one of two who hosts on my family side. It is not my turn this year, but my sister has a major event near Thanksgiving and I am trying to decide if I will step up and take the holiday meal for her. When I had a similar event at my turn to host the family Christmas party a couple of years ago she didn't offer and I ended up stressed out for over a week with both events. I just don't know if I can do that to her. Thanksgiving in our family usually doesn't bring in as many out-of-towners and 30 is about the max. Christmas is a less formal dinner, but we have a slew of activities in conjunction with the meal and the numbers get closer to 50. We'll see how nice (or guilty) I feel in a few more weeks. : )
