Sunshine here today and I can take a walk at the beach. There was a story in today's Trib about a 106-year-old Pearl Harbor veteran. His subsequent service including being on the USS Iowa and witnessing the Japanese surrender in 1945, so he was there at the beginning and the end. [He's one of 11 Pearl Harbor vets still living.]
We’ve had rainy days one after another too; but I’m not complaining, we NEED the rain! God bless our servicemen and our veterans; may we always remember that our freedom wasn’t free.
Some very brave young men. I've had the privilege of meeting a few of them as much older, wiser men.
