the scrappy DWR is finally finished but didn't happen just by myself...thankful to divine guidance that provided expert caregivers who got me back to quilty baseline and onward to more finishes! i love it but need a break from it just now...
what else shakin'? the closet herd has been thinned....DD chose some, others are getting rehomed, and space is now available for those waiting in the wings...
now in the hoop....baskets I....with baskets II soon to follow.....still playing catch up with the UFO list...
machine project for june will be to finish up the repro blocks and get to the flimsy stage....
summer clothes still waiting to be unpacked as it's been a 5-day deluge with chilly and very wet weather...sneaked in one last pot of clam chowder for now.....it was delish!
and if when the sun returns, i'm ready for safe scooting with this snazzy umbrella....a mother's day present from dear daughter....nifty gift i'd say!
while ogling all the beautiful garden pix on various blogs, my heart travels back to my little house and all the pretties that bloomed there....here's one...every year may is the month i miss my house and yard the most....
keep calm and quilt on!

It sounds as though your progress with re-home-ing your quilts is successful. Keep up the good work and then browse in a garden somewhere and all will be right with the world.
ReplyDeletethanks betty!
DeleteThe DWR is a beauty! The blue background was a great choice. The umbrella will make you more visible as you scoot around. Keep plugging away at the decluttering!
ReplyDeletethanks! and the sun has finally returned!
DeleteBeautiful job on the wedding ring quilt! moving on is always bittersweet. Hugs.
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteTwo fabulous quilts! One complete, one in the wings. Your work is lovely!!!

thanks sharon...
DeleteAbsolutely love that blue background! It's a gorgeous quilt.
ReplyDeleteglad you like it...
DeleteOh Grace! Your quilt is so beautful all spread out on the bed. What a wonderful finish. That UFO line-up seems never ending with me. I've got 5 more quilts in the queue to be quilted and I'm one fourth of the way through with the current quilt in the floor hoop. Last week I was dragging around here - no energy physically or mentally. So not much hand quilting got done. I think I've gotten over the slump as I quilted 2 hours yesterday. That climbing red rose bush is so pretty, it's no wonder that you miss it.
ReplyDeletethanks...yeah i miss my house...good and bad of course, burden for one person but oh the personal freedom...
DeleteYour DWR is a masterpiece! Space cleaned out in a closet is always so good for the soul! Basket blocks are one of my weaknesses, your hand quilted beauty will be wonderful. That lovely rose trellis is a memory to treasure forever, simply beautiful!
ReplyDeletethanks mrs. g....
